{September 21-26, 2022} Welcome to Iceland!!

In continuing all of my recent travel nostalgia and memory reflections, it was bittersweet to realize that it's been two whole years ago today since I came back from Iceland- the land of fire and ice. Though I only got to spend a short four days in this unforgettable country, it really touched my heart and soul. This trip came during a time when so many doors in my life were closing in on me, and I genuinely think this trip saved my life in a way. It was also very meaningful to get to share in this experience with my mother and grandmother, who are two of my greatest inspirations for my travel itch. We packed as much as we absolutely could into our short time there, and it was absolutely magical to be there in the height of the Fall transition and changing colors. I was able to see the Northern Lights for the first time, hug tectonic plates, be kissed by local Icelandic horses, and got sprayed by the mists of countless waterfalls. This trip allowed me to feel so connected with the earth, and my roots. I am dreaming of the day when I can return to this beautiful and magical land, and continue to explore every inch of it and its amazing local culture/ history.
